Overall Score: C

Cattleman’s Cut teriyaki beef jerky tastes sweet and a little tangy with hints of garlic. The teriyaki flavor is pronounced well in this brand and tastes great. The smokiness wasn’t overpowering and compliments the teriyaki; however, a smokey flavor kind of lingered in my mouth after eating the jerky. Regardless, because Cattleman’s Cut’s teriyaki stood out to us, we score it an A on the flavor factor.

Majority of the jerky was large, moist chunks. Even though it seemed moist, it was chewy and had a lot of gristle making it tough to swallow. Overall, the texture left something to be desired. We score the Cattleman’s Cut teriyaki beef jerky’s a C on the texture factor.

Cattleman’s Cut teriyaki beef jerky is sugary and neither gluten free, nor organic. The package says they use U.S. and imported beef. If you’re looking for a jerky that says no added MSG, no added preservitives, or no added nitrates, pass on Cattleman’s Cut teriyaki beef jerky.
